IVAO has released a statement on their official discord, saying “We are excited to announce that IVAO’s Altitude and MTL Library are fully compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 from day one!”.
The team within the community that has performed extensive testing on the service wanted to ensure a seamless transition for those who currently use the network. Going on to state “We’re here to make sure your virtual flights stay as immersive and smooth as ever.”

IVAO Directly Linking With Navigraph Charts
live IVAO traffic is now fully integrated into the Navigraph Charts app. This enhancement brings unprecedented functionality and real-time data to elevate your flight planning and simulation experience.
The most notable addition is the ability to visualize live aircraft positions directly within the app. This feature provides pilots with a comprehensive view of the IVAO network, displaying real-time updates on active flights. You can select an aircraft to access a wealth of information, including the pilot’s name, call sign, aircraft type, phase of flight, airspeed, expected arrival time, and more. For those looking to embark on new adventures, the app also allows you to copy an active user’s filed flight plan with a single click, making it easy to replicate and fly the same route.

In addition to tracking live aircraft, the update includes detailed information about air traffic control (ATC) sectors. The app now provides an overview of staffed airports and active ATC sectors, helping users identify which frequencies to tune into and what services are available. Clicking on an active sector reveals specific details about the ATC’s role, their rank within IVAO, and the duration of their activity, ensuring a seamless and well-coordinated flight planning process.
New Airport Data
Airport data has also been significantly expanded in this update. Over 1,000 AMDB-class airports now feature real-time traffic updates, offering insights into gate and stand occupancy, delays, and estimated departure times. Pilots can monitor arriving and departing aircraft, both on the ground and in the air, providing better situational awareness. This addition minimizes the risk of accidental conflicts, such as spawning on an already-occupied stand, and enhances operational efficiency for users.
To take advantage of these powerful new tools, users should update their Navigraph Charts software. This integration with IVAO traffic marks a significant step forward in making flight simulation more realistic and engaging, whether you are planning routes, navigating busy airspaces, or simply enjoying the immersive experience of virtual aviation.
Navigraph continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in flight simulation, and this update is a testament to their commitment to innovation and excellence.
