Microsoft Offers “Fix” for Limited Collector’s Edition Delay

Microsoft has issued a statement addressing the Limited Collector’s Edition Delay caused by unexpected shipping issues.

While U.S. shipments are on schedule for the November 19 launch date, international orders will now begin shipping in the first week of December.

To ensure customers affected by the delay can still enjoy the simulator on launch day, Microsoft is offering a temporary solution. Pre-order customers will receive a token for a one-month subscription to Game Pass, granting access to the Standard Edition of MSFS 2024, along with hundreds of other games.

Additionally, Microsoft will provide the “Standard to Aviator Upgrade” content free of charge.

Steps for Customers

To claim these benefits, customers must provide their Gamertag to Aerosoft via this link. Once the Gamertag is submitted, players must log in and play MSFS 2024 using the provided Game Pass access. Microsoft will then grant the Aviator Upgrade content within a day or two.

When the LCE package arrives in December, customers will need to redeem the included token for the full Aviator Edition. By signing in with the same account, users can ensure their progress and upgrades are retained when the Game Pass subscription expires.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I delay activating my Game Pass token?

Microsoft recommends activating the token on November 19, ensuring access to the simulator until December 19, by which time the LCE should arrive.

Can I cancel my order?

Aerosoft allows refunds for up to 14 days after you receive the LCE without specifying a reason for a full refund as long as the package is not opened. Simply send an email to info@aerosoft.com or open a ticket to request a refund. For more details, you can go here: https://www.aerosoft.com/us/revocation-right.

What if I don’t use the Standard Edition access?

Those who choose not to redeem the temporary Game Pass token will still receive the full Aviator Edition with the LCE in December.

Microsoft emphasized its commitment to a smooth experience for all players and expressed gratitude to the global simulation community for their understanding and patience during this delay.
